For the record, I have since been given a more accurate assessment of the NVA fleet numbers in battle with the SPVD invaders last night and given that we were actually outgunned by battleships my question to Mastema was based on incorrect understanding of the situation.
I believe NVA pilots were rattled and seeing "exploits" where there were none.
I apologise for even suggesting this might have been the case in a private conversation with Mastema.
My own preference was that this question should have remained entirely private.
As you can see from the chatlog, my only intention was to settle my own mind so I could advise the NVA pilots to settle down and cease unhelpful speculation.

Its obvious in retrospect m'dear, ... but last night when i logged on to update skills it was all "OMG OMG Space Invaders have hired the martian tripods to attack Venal with "UBER HEATRAYS OF DEATH" -
Before I spoke with Mastema I had been given the impression we had lost like 20 battleships to no reply against a fleet half that number.
In the cool light of day it turns out we were actually outgunned, so the result isn't really much of a surprise.
But since I acted on flawed information in establishing coms with Mastema I did owe you guys an apology.

For heavens sake Crice give it a rest why don't you! You are embarrassing yourself more than ever (and frankly, after being proved a lying numpty and abandoned by your whole corp I am amazed you can look much worse).
At the moment you are the gibbering rodent around the neck of the space invader Jabba the Hutt ... does that make you proud?
Lets face facts,
The NVA war against Biomass has not gone well in terms of fleet losses. We have taken a hellova lot of casaulties ... but guess what? We are still playing and still fighting and we haven't yet descended to stabbing each other in the back and stealing the family silver.
And in my book, loyalty and courage in adversity is something too be proud of.
Of course a reptilian parasite like yourself has very different values ... I imagine if it doesn't involve petty treachery and dirty money very little makes you proud.
And a last note,
We have done badly in fleet battles but we have more or less owned you consistantly m'dear.
I guess that makes you worse than crap.
Who would have thought it?

I hope m'dear Mastema that the fleet is using the new "retreat rather than getting blown up" ROE protocols ;)
After extensive analysis and simulation-gaming of the logistical implications NVA scientists and strategic consultants have determined that;
Running away and having a ship.
Is sometimes better tham,
Staying and getting blown up.
radical I know, but hey, you have to go out on a limb with these things sometimes.

The fully functional gang skills came as a total surprise to me, and I must say, I really hope CCP to put them in the game as buyable skills as soon as possible. Its not reasonable that only on creation skills are haveing a significant outcome in important battles really.
Congratulations are of course in order for Space Invaders discovering a game technique to deliver them a decisive advantage in battle.
You guys are certainly sharp!
Better watch out or you will cut yourselves ;)

Jericho's role in the New Venal Alliance is as a MLC* corp Indigo. We fulfil a vital logistical need that allows our comrades to get on with trying to build something in the environment of eve.
While MLC duties take up a fair bit of our time, we do manage to squeeze in a fair bit of fighting ironically, and we have had some pretty active corp members these past couple of weeks.
But you will appreciate fighting the Space Invaders is very dull. There are literally 2 states to engagement.
1. We have the advantage and coordination = you log off.
2. We are in a pathetic muddle = you "own" us and gloat about it on the forums.
But at the end of the day, Jericho is a smallish trading corp. We can't stand against pirate alliances and megacorps on our own.
And while we appreciate that you guys are still following the deadman's orders (ie ragnar's dictate) to the letter, you must understand we are not that eager to die for your pleasure.
So, I hope this explains matters.
And yes, I suck at PvP .... I am utterly crap.
Today I got reduced to a pod 3 times before I even got near a battle.
I am so embarrassed, maybe I should shoot myself?
Or maybe not.

Indigo, I honestly believe you have no axe to grind, but just the same, I do think there are a lot of people in SPVD and the Foresaken Alliance that are dead set on "paying us back" for beating Ragnar and the NA.
There is a lot of hate amongst your allies. A lot of people with crazy feelings and bizarre thoughts. People that take things too personally and become very bitter.
Take the Rohann guy this afternoon in Foresaken channel ... he sounded about 10 years old, stamping his feet and almost bursting into tears at his inability to make adult conversation.
I think the game has become quite real for a lot of the foresaken players and they toss and turn in fevered dreams imagining the fall of the venal and the humiliation of Jade etc etc.
Its incredible really the amount of hate there is.
I don't even blow people's ships up!
And pretty much everyone I speak to in-game finds me polite and accomodating I think.
So what is this really about?
I mean, I have literally dozens of alt cowards stalking me (hello captain masochist) ...
I've got right wing loonies like Bill of B-ollocks talking nonsense.
I've got numpties like Tehel Necrona coming out of retirement (having given up the game apparently) simply to join the organised flame parade on corp forums.
All because of one simple fact.
You guys lost last time.
Mainly because Ragnar was a poor warleader leader, and TTI made unwise decisions.
He tried to bully me and small VA corps and it bit him in the ass.
All I see at the moment is an endless tide of revisionism trying to undo what happened.
You guys say you are bored of the game.
Well guess what? you are more or less continually listening to the same stuck record because you are continually refighting the old war.
And the way this refighting is happening is boring.
Because of game mechanics and glitches it frankly sucks.
Sure you guys only fight when you know you can win. It makes a lot of sense.
Just like it would make perfect sense for us to not fight you.
Because seriously?
What can you do?
Nothing.
You can't occupy stations,
You can't destroy corp assets,
You can't really interfere with corp moneymaking ... everyone has empire assets ... when there is a blockade or occupation we all go elsewhere to make ends meet.
If I was the uber dictator that asshats make me out to be I would have ordered NVA ships to not engage SPVD a week ago.
Why?
Because there is no point.
You have an endless supply of ships.
And you are good at bringing the odds into your favour.
But by us not fighting ... it doesn't gain you anything ... boring you to death is by far the best option.
The war is pretty much a farce
You know it, we know it.
